Hello and welcome back Cheektowaga Warriors hockey parents and players! For those of you that don’t know me, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Tony Pierino, and I am the new Hockey Coordinator for our program here at Cheektowaga. I have been employed by the Town’s Youth & Recreation Services Department as well as involved with the hockey program for the past 33 years. I look forward to moving the Cheektowaga Warriors hockey program forward in a positive direction. My goal is to provide all of our participants and parents with the best experience possible.
I have been a youth hockey coach at all levels from beginners to Juniors in both the house and travel leagues. I have also coordinated the town’s youth soccer, inline and street hockey programs. I am married to my wife Robin and a step father to three teenage children, Ryan, Kristin, and Megan. I am a member of the Western New York Amateur Hockey League staff as the coordinator of the Mite Jamboree League, as well as a part of the Niagara Frontier Officials Association (NFOA) group. I am also responsible for hosting the WNYAHL travel league playoffs at our rink.
The Cheektowaga Warriors hockey program has a strong foundation. The hockey staff and I would like to build the program even more going into the future and with the help of our community we aim to make the Cheektowaga Warriors hockey program the best in our area. We have a newly renovated, state of the art, well-kept facility here at the Cheektowaga Recreation Center. We have experienced, knowledgeable, and committed coaches and team managers who volunteer an endless amount of time for the youth of our program. I have the privilege to work with the fantastic facility and town employees, not to mention a great hockey staff. With your help, I know we can make this program even more special than it already is.
I want to thank you for your time and patience with this new transition here at Cheektowaga hockey. Please feel free to stop in and see me or the hockey staff if you have any questions, concerns or suggestions. You may also contact me by email at email@example.com or my personal cell at 716-867-8349. You can reach the hockey office staff at the rink by calling 716-897-7218.
I Hope to see and speak with you all soon!
